Suzy Bogguss is no stranger to success. The multi-platinum artist was always bound for great things – what homecoming queen isn’t? After high school, ten albums, a couple CMA awards, and an exceptional career spanning nearly two decades, Bogguss is showing that her style and skill can stand the test of time.

It has been her ability to stick with “what brought her to the dance,” that has earned her so much respect within the industry. Walking that difficult line between commercial success and critical acclaim so well, it’s hard to believe that Suzy was prepared to settle down somewhere in the country to open a jewelry designing business after earning her art degree. Fortunately she decided on her current career, and is now prepared to release “Sweet Danger,” a record she co-produced with famed jazz/pop keyboardist and producer Jason Miles, who’s worked with Miles Davis, Luther Vandross and Sting.

The new album has been described as an “instantly engaging, groove-oriented record infused with jazz rhythms and Bogguss’ signature vocals.” Ms. Bogguss is preparing to tour once again, so keep an eye out for shows. Her intimate engagements are not to be missed – she is the type of live performer who understands what the audience is feeling and what they’re looking for – and follows through with music that always satisfies. Read on for her answers to the XXQ’s.
